April Lacheur is a full time acrylic painter living in Maple Ridge BC. She is self-taught and works in an unique style combing bold colours and flowing line work to tell the stories of the forest and sea and what we can learn from them. One of her popular series includes her transparent white line work 'Memory trees' that aims to celebrate the memories that we carry with us through life. April paints both from photographs of favourite spots on west coast as well as creates imagined landscapes inspired by the beauty of the West Coast. April sometimes collaborates with her husband to create paintings that include metal highlights such as metal leaves and fireflies which are always a crowd pleaser. April has been selling her original paintings and reproductions since 2007. Once a Registered Nurse, April traded in her stethoscope for a paint brush in 2018 and now works full time from her backyard studio among the trees. April offers original works as well as reproductions including cards, prints, bags, pillows and calendars.
