All EEK Pottery is handmade by myself in my small home studio in Lumby, BC. For the last 12 years, I have been making traditional pottery with a modern twist. The great outdoors that surrounds us is a huge inspiration in my work. Hand washing is recommended for the longevity of your pieces - however, they are dishwasher, microwave and oven-safe.
Each block of clay has to be cut, weighed, measured, and wedged. From there I mold and shape the clay on the potters wheel. Once the pots are leather hard I decorate them with my images that I have silk screened onto paper before transferring onto my pots. Each piece is then fired twice in my electric kilns. The first firing changes the clay into stone, making each piece ready to sand, bathe, and glaze.
