ynan Caine has been playing the violin since the age of 4 years old. Training in classical, jazz and contemporary music with multiple different private instructors & at the conservatory of music in Winnipeg,MB as well as Camosun College in Victoria B.C. developing a solid understanding on technique, theory, improvisation & composition. A versatile musician Caine has performed as side man for multiple country, folk, blues and bluegrass bands and as a frontman for his own Tynan Caine Quartet with performances all over Vancouver island, Montreal, Winnipeg and Europe at array of festivals and venues such as Cumberland wild, elevate the arts, woodstove and Quadra revival. Tynan is also an educator who has close to a decade experience teaching jazz, Celtic, bluegrass and classical music at long & mcquade, musiprof and as a private instructor.
